Over the past 24 years, the Sheboygan Public Education Foundation (SPEF) has awarded more than $1.65 million in grants to SASD schools, teachers, and staff for projects not covered by the district’s annual budget.

Grants are awarded twice a year, in November and April, for innovative and creative proposals selected by the SPEF Grant Committee and approved by the SPEF Board of Directors.

Teachers, students and community members can apply for technology grants, non-technology grants, or both to support innovative projects that enhance student learning in the Sheboygan Area School District.

SPEF is committed to funding innovative and impactful projects that enhance the educational experience for SASD students—both inside and outside the classroom!

What SPEF Supports:

✅ Creative and innovative proposals that enhance student learning inside and outside the classroom.
✅ Technology and non-technology grants—please use the appropriate application.
✅ Projects with additional funding sources in place will be viewed favorably by the selection committee.

What SPEF Doesn’t Fund:

❌ Yearly Recurring Fees

❌ Subscriptions

❌ Staff Positions

❌ Operational or Building Safety Costs
